Scheme Guidelines

• Ministry of Education (Erstwhile Ministry of Human Resource Development) has finalized a scheme for providing interest subsidy on Education Loan taken by students from economically weaker section (EWS) having parental income less than Rs.4.5 lakhs per annum for professional study in India during the study period /repayment holiday under Central Scheme on Interest Subsidy (CSIS).

• The MoE, GOI has designated our bank as nodal Bank for administering the scheme.

• Government Portal Section, Government Services Wing, Head Office, Canara Bank has been designated as nodal office to handle the activities related to this scheme.
